yeah, i 'robo-dosed' (that's what we used to call drinkign too much
robotussin) as a PrimalScream show at Hammerstein. it was pretty rad. but
there were all these drunks from the UK (no offense) who just kept pushing
back to go to the bar, then push back up front. so, yeah, anyway, towards
the end i thought i had magic psychic powers when i tapped on the shoulder
of this hot model chick near me and said "i bet they play HigherThanTheSun
next" and geeeee-wiz, they did. i'm so special. ... burp.
anyhow, it goes without saying, but if Screamadelica was released today
people would still soil themselves with the seamless mix of
electronics/organics, rock/dance. shit is dope. i guess Weatherall had a
lot to do with it...and i LOVE Vanishing Point. cooler, darker, more
electronically infused. Kowalski still kicks my ass. brutal.
and then the newest one, XTRMRNENR, or whatever they called, it kicks ass
too. the last track, FiveYearsAheadOfMyTime has amazing off-melody,
swarming beez of synth strings.
anyone seen SuperFuryAnimals live? they're coming to NYC and i'm thinking
of going...
NP: (i'm taking a break from synthetics and delving into deathmetal). check
