Not as dark, not as good...but otherwise a wonderful album. Can you really top Entroducing? I think not... The track with the 'I'm a bad motherfuckin dj' sample absolutely slayed the floor at some recent dj gigs... -- ^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^- omz beautamous loaf recordings http://www.hotweird.com/loaf/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

The new DJ Shadow is amazing. Nothing can really ever take the place of Endtroducing for me. It totally blew my mind when it came out and I was much less used to all this sampling and turntables back then. But I always had suspicions in the back of my head that Endtroducing was like a one time fluke after he released 45 mix after 45 mix. But this new album totally refutes that. Its just so good, but I'll never have the kind of sentimental attatchment to it that I have for Endtroducing. Speaking of Quannum related stuff, this new Blackalicious album is really great too. I saw the video on the TV the other day too! Is Blackalicious gonna blow up? Ok, so where are so many people getting access to the new DJ Shadow? I was just told by someone at MCA that only a handful of journalists were getting press copies, to prevent bootlegging -- seems like yet another of those no-upfront-press deals that are becoming so common. But obviously peeps are hearing it... what gives? I've seen it all over the place on the net for at least a month. There was actually a web page set up where you could download all the tracks before it ever reached p2p's like soulseek. etc. -- ________________________ omz beautamous loaf recordings http://www.hotweird.com/loaf --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
