hello, for those of you who use sounddiver, here's a question: in the directory structure of the software, can i have a list of the folder names and a general description of their contents? this may seem a little odd, but i recently purchased a doepfer pocket dial that came with an oem version of sounddiver 3.0, but since doepfer isn't overly mac friendly (i'm a mac person) the compressed archive didn't set up a directory structure. the software disc proceeded to give me adaptation files (*.ada) and library files (*.lib) and told me to put them into the folders /Diver and /Libraries, respectively. however, after all this, the program doesn't recognize the files. i'm more than a little frustrated and any help would be much appreciated. any ideas on what i'm doing wrong or tips on understanding/using sounddiver and/or the pocket dial would be much appreciated thanks in advance, craig. _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Hi All, I was wondering what easy(-ish) tracking software you can get for macs? I currently use a PC and Fruityloops to make music, but want to get a iBook. What would people recommend that is similar (and hopefully free...) Depends on what you're using a DAW for, but ProTools Free runs nicely on Macs...it's an abomination on Wintel machines...PTF has saved my ass a couple of times when I couldn't lug Digi001 around....all that's going to change though with the M-Box.... Peak and Deck are nice as well. I don't using tracking software much so I have no recommendations there.... George, Check the IDM-Making Egroups forum for the discussion on how to construct electronic music. There's only about 732 members on the list! 0_o http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IDM-Making/ Hope this helps, Pietro. || audio::nimbus :: pietro@audionimbus.com .. .. .. || www.audionimbus.com, www.igloomag.com || p.o. box 443, orange - california, 92856 .. .. ..

And if you check the archives, someone inquired (and got an answer) about Mac trackers just last week or so. I'd tell you, but I don't remember what they came up with. Z --- "audio::nimbus" <audionimbus@hotmail.com> wrote:
