I know it is a bit late, but for those of you into thought-provoking hip-hop
(as mentioned in the Aesop Rock thread), do yourselves a favor and PLEASE
pick up the new Five Deez album "Koolmotor" on Counterflow Recordings.
Producer Fat Jon flawlessly blends hip-hop, jazzy downtempo, fractured
breaks, and even deep House tracks amidst a plethora of MC style and
turntablist tricks. His solos effort called "Fat Jon as Maurice Galactica
presents Humanoid Erotica" is absolutely off the fuckin' chain like a rabid
escapee Doberman...er, or something like that. Just pick it up.
Late,
J~
