Hi, I've been playing around recently, with using bass samples, as the source material for creating beats - and drum samples, as the source for (yep, you guessed it) bass sounds... Anyone else noticed this sort of thing in others stuff, or their own tinkerings? There ya go...there's something fun to discuss... :) RoNAn <-------------> Everything is True, Nothing is Permissible _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I've been doing this for some time...its actually how I naturally began songs when I first started out...I enjoy doing the same with other elements.... Its not uncommon at all, most often actually you'll find in most all music that the drum beat and the bass line either fall exactly on the same beats, or a combination of falling on and accenting....its just how it is....unless you really enjoy tinkering around....have fun! xh --- Bill Burroughs <djmatus23@yahoo.com> wrote:

I just did that... Using b.d.'s for basslines. Only problem I've encountered is a washed out low end. Like if I use a shallower kick over the "bassline" sometimes it just blends and doesn't get The desired effect. I used this for this tech-houser I just made. http://www.humbledesign.com/sound/thumbs.ram Had fun doing it. Peace Alland. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
