Just a quick one to let you all know that although I have been to the listening session I have now received the album and can say it is delicious! Live @ ATP track 4 is on there... very nice to hear it crispy without the portable phone... For some reason this album, although only a bit longer than a hour, feels to take ages to listen to. Probably because of the varied styles of the songs. All songs are easily recognised to be on the BoC style that we all love so much (or hate of course). Super fine is the 'the devil is in the details' intermezzo... Super eerie heavy organ riff... It gave me the creeps in the chapel in London, and when playing loud enough it works fine in a living room too :) In the previous review there was talk about a lot of DSP and distortion which is there indeed. No songs in AE style on this album but there is this song 'you could feel the sky' which has a mighty fine snap crackle pop drumloop which sounds like a needle stuck against the centre artwork of an LP at times. Very nice song also. A bit ambient are some of the intermezzo's and again a lot of (kids) talking through the music. During the listening session there was a slideshow which lasted the whole album... The shots didn't do it for me! Although I like most of the BoC artwork the pictures were mostly of wifes and children and were manipulated in a very low-tech cheap way... They certainly didn't achieve the 'kaleidoscopic LSD 70's old movies colour' effect that one would expect after seeing the album cover. I'm sure that the album will now soon be available for download from various 'File Sharing' networks... All this useless information is all very IMHO..... I could be mistaken, but I was led to believe the image that is right now on www.boardsofcanada.com of the fiery sunset and blurred image of a person actually was the cover of the cd as well as just a kick ass image they put in there for no reason. Hey just another question on the side: Did anyone hear any hintings of the songs they had looped on the site (like when they had the mountain scene, and the swampy marsh scene) on the cd? or did they just make those for the site? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Irene McC" <substar@iafrica.com> To: <p.palse@axionsoftware.com>; <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Saturday, February 09, 2002 10:56 PM Subject: [idm] Geogaddi icover

Hey Jesse, The loop that is now on the site is on Geogaddi and is called "over the horizon radar". That little flute loop I didn't find on it!
