while we're OT, though it's not "post-rock" Stephen Malkmus' s/t album on Matador is excellent! nothing like a good pop record now and then reminds me of lou reed or velvet underground for some reason -adam ===== .Adam http://www.damek.org/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Really? I don't like it at all. I'm not super into indie rock, but I like Pavement, Modest Mouse, and some of the other big names. But Stephen Malkamus' album? Ick. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I didn't like it much at first, but it's growing on me. He's still a badass lyricist, even if I was expecting more of a pavement-like sound. Hopefully he's not going the way of Frank Black post-Pixies... Z __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Great stuff seeking new owners in Yahoo! And Jim O'Rouke's last album Insignificance on Domino is cheering me up big time as well (his guitar one, not his laptop album). Short sweet pop songs, a bit rockier than Eureka, and maybe a bit more straight forward, but I've been listening to it several times a day since I got it. Glenn Lander wrote:
