so, a quick allmusic search tells me that Mark Bell has done jack shit (save for Hooty Mack) other than Bjork's beats... i was watching Volumen (bjork video collection... love) the other night and Isobelle came on and i must say, if a lot of bjorks last three albums were instrumental they would be the bomb IDM albums. listen to Isobelle again... the song is so seductive you may not notice the squelching glitches, but hot diggity, it's the good stuff. so, what's the story with Mark Bell? does bjork keep him locked up in the dungeon of her ice palace or something?

Mark Bell has also released under the names Lofthouse, Speedjack, Fawn ... the Speedjack album "surge" (R&S) is really good techno. hs At 07.44 -0800 02-01-24, Petter wrote:

I think the Mark Bell on Lofthouse is excellent. When I first heard it. I felt like my mind was opened up to a new way of listening to music. The synth line seems to tell a continuous story while the rhythms provide the foundation. It was in its time a clear display of what techno was and would be. -Chris www.mp3.com/chrispulse
