Hey all, I'm a bit bored and am not yet sleepy, and I've been listening to some great music--and I was thinking, what are my favorite remixes (by other artists in particular)? So, on this rather arbitrary mindway, here goes(in no particular order): Listen to a Song by Fingernail remixed by Flowchart Nav Katz - Ziggy (Aphex Twin Mix #1) Sieg Uber Die Sonne - You'll Never Come Back (Plaid Mix) Leftfield - Swords (Two Lone Swordsmen Remix) The Hacker - Fadin' Away (Dima Remix) Adult vs. Solvent - Flexidisk (remix) Aphex Twin - SAW2 CD1 Track1 (four tet mix) Phoenecia Oddjob Discrimination (Jeswa's Dreamlite Steak version) Bjork - All is full of Love (both Funkstorung's and Plaid's remixes) Bjork - everything off of "the best mixes from the album-debut for all the peole who don't buy white-labels" Mum remixed - Traktor remix Slag Boom Van Loon - So Soon (u-ziq's spc-ch-pn) Matthew Dear's Irreparably Dented (David Alvarado Reconstruction) Rabbit in The Moon/Humate - East (Humate Remix) Two Lone Swordsmen - Tiny Reminders (c-p?? damn i can't find this right now--but both the vocal and instramental versions are brilliant) A lot more than I thought I'd list, but they're all tops. Alec empire Vs. Elvis Presley. Easily his best record. None of the politics, just brilliant reinterpretation. Too bad he can't keep evolving...
