Just back from the Rephlex party at 93 Feet East. That place is excellent, outdoor patios, three rooms. I didn't get there till almost midnite so i missed DMX Crew and Ovuca, but i did get to hear RDJ spin, which was quite something. Total old school banging acid house rave revival tracks, and the place was going wild. So busy in that room they had a one out/one in policy going on. Its actually quite a pain in the ass when it's that busy, but it was quite worth it. It totally felt like an old rave, at one point one of the tracks dropped to a bare 4 x 4 bass drum, and everyone started cheering and just going off. hee! i thought that was pretty funny. I don't know if they were all his own tracks or not, and at some points he was crouched behind the decks for ages, so i don't know if he was playing anything live as well. Anyone know more technical details of what was going on? i was against the stage for the whole show. DMX Krew was SOOOOOOO slick. Aphex was crouched behind a little sony laptop for most of the show. He only played one track of his I recognized (track 2 off the "2 remixes by AFX" cd). I'm not positive but i think he might have played something off "Xylem Tube."
