Ive become a bit jaded with a lot of IDM stuff lately, especially glitch stuff (though I enjoy things breaking up in a 'melodic' way). I was wondering what people have found mindblowing of late. In relation to my subject heading I think the following have fitted the bill in the past: Monolake - Hong Kong (this one got very loud as I was playing Wipeout on my N64 at the time!) Sutekh - Periods. Make. Sense. Quantum Leap - Redsun DNTEL - Ambient works for me if it works for you The Did you see? comp on Defocus Laurent Garnier - Unreasonable Behaviour cheers rA --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Jim O'Rourke - I'm Happy, And I'm Singing, And A 1,2 3,4 (Mego) - this one totally "breaks up in a melodic way" MVFS (Crank/Low Res & Phthalocyanine) - '95-'99 (Aim) - the misanthropic sounds of Zelonky & Fergadis http://aim-records.com/artists/artists_mvfs.html Greg Davis - Arbor (upcoming on Carpark) - acoutics meet DSP. also breaks up in a very melodic way Ivo Malec - 2CD set on INA-GRM - wonderful "academic" electronics Andrei --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
