Dude. Just use Total Recorder.
http://www.highcriteria.com/
It records ANY sound playing on your hard drive.
Doesn't matter if it's software based, hardware based, web based - ANYTHING.
This IS the solution you are looking for if you're on a PC.
It is tried tested and true and easily records Windows Media, Quicktime, MP3
and Real streams.
It's so easy to use it's laughable. If you hear sound coming out of your
computer then Total Recorder will capture it to .wav
That's it. That's all you need to know.
