I doubt this. Ken Downie *is* TBD these days (well, the last I heard he does have an accomplice, but I can never recall his name) and from past history isn't going to hand over the TBD monicker readily. I'm not sure who comprises each of the various TBD/Plaid offshoots, but Repeat was (afaik) a joint venture between Ed, Andy and Mark Broom. Also, I believe Ed and Andy were doing things together before they formed TBD with Ken, so that makes it more confusing when looking at Balil, etc...I'm under the impression that some of these things were part of the pre-TBD configuration and probably realized while/as TBD. Anyhow, no news on the site of a new LP, but several remixes have surfaced in the not too distant past. http://www.dogsquad.com/ I used to go back and forth with Ken via email from time to time, but haven't for a good long while - he used to tell me something was on the way (in terms of new Dog biscuits) quite a bit. Maybe that was before Babylon - can't recall. I'm old :-) jeff At 07:32 AM 11/14/2001, http://www.promoozz.org wrote:

I've often wondered the same thing myself, and have called the label Hydrogen Jukebox several times. But it's definately spelt Dukebox. They've got a website at http://www.hydrogendukebox.com Greg --- Greg Clow - greg@stainedproductions.com - greg@feedbackmonitor.com concert & event promotions - http://www.stainedproductions.com electronic music radio/reviews/interviews - http://www.feedbackmonitor.com 158 Close Ave. 2nd Floor - Toronto, Ontario M6K 2V5 - Canada --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

http://www.souljazzrecords.co.uk/sjr.htm Soul Jazz just released a 12" featuring A Certain Ratio's Shack Up and Human Leagues best song, Being Boiled. I've never cared much for shack up but I have to admit it is a great dj track. Being Boiled, well everyone should have that. This label seems to have it's finger on the pulse, well, my pulse at least. They've got a release coming up called "In The Beginning There Was Rhythm, The Birth Of Dance Music After Punk" thats just got to be good. They're also responsible for the ESG release of last year. Now I'm curious to hear their other stuff. If only they'd reissue that infamous Sir Horatio 12".
