this may seem like a stupid question to those of you who have been into idm for longer than 6 months, but how do idm artists produce/sequence the sounds that make up their songs? i know this is an overly vague question, but idm types seem to be very secretive and i was just wondering if any of you knew... anyway, is there any equipment or software you could recomend to me? thanks a bunch adam _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

If I may second this somewhat naive but commendably direct question, (although ive clocked up a few hrs midi sequencing on my old atari & d/loaded the odd piece of software here & there, music being a prime motivation for me forking out dosh for this thing in the first place..)...but didnt someone mention there was another idm "making" list more to do with discussion of audio apps & production etc.? I'd be both nerdy & keen enough to check out such a discussion. ----- Original Message ----- From: Adam Neddo <xcotillionx@hotmail.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, November 05, 2001 12:41 PM Subject: [idm] idm sounds

Yep. It's a Yahoogroup, and the name is IDM-Making. You both would probably get much faster responses to questions like these. derek At 12:23 AM 11/6/2001 +1030, Tim Mortimer wrote:
