Just got the latest Warp newsletter thru the post. Some interesting stuff on there, including news of Warpmart (which we all know about), record bags, tshirts, slipmatts etc and also the fact that Blech is starting up once a month in London!! Yes!!! (coz i'd have no chance of getting to sheffield for it), starting on 31st October, I think I will be there :) Seefeel playing live apparently, also Boards of Canada playing live, and DJing will be Rob Hall and Chantal. Maybe I'll take my camera :) -- Ben Coffer Hybrid Productions http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

Speaking of Warp, (about two days ago, i'm on digest..) the new Squarepusher album, "Selection Sixteen" has some highs and lows, much in line with "Big Loada" while taking those experimental jazz trips from "Music is Rotted.." and incorporating them into the tracks. Nice job, especially on "Tomorrow World" "Acid Tape Track" and "Dedicated Loop". (There are four bonus tracks on here btw) And i'll be commenting on the new and amazingly rich Two Lone Swordsman album, "A Virus With Shoes" within the next week. Someone mentioned the Designer's Republic artwork on the comp's, well Warp also released a limited edition postcard package featuring those cover's, as well as Warp balloons to celebrate their 10th birthday. Those Warp fellas are a nice bunch of individuals. The first Warp release I ever got I didn't actually buy - it was 'Theme II' by the Sabres of Paradise, and it was free on a Select (old music magazine) tape. I'd never heard anything like it (I was an indie kid at the time), and just listened to it over and over again for about a week solid. This, and records like 'On', 'Amber', 'Chiastic Slide', 'Port Rhombus', 'Haunted Dancehall', 'Succour', 'Artificial Intelligence 2' and many more I can't think of right now altered the way I listen to music, and opened up huge amounts of new music to me.
