No it doesn't.
All you are acheiving with this constant cluttering of everyones' inboxes
is to convince the list that you're an idiot, and probably to attract flames
a good deal less restrained than this one.
The problem is not only that of your sending a dozen emails where one
would suffice, it's the precedent tht this sets. I'm not clear on the
precise policies of this list, but it's a general point of netiquette to
keep self promotion to a minimum. One email is fair enough, particularly if
it comes from someone who posts helpfully or intelligently on other
subjects. Better still is a sig advert. I think a lot of IDM listers are
like me in that they are more likely to listen to randomly advertised music
if it's produced by someone whose views they respect. Your stuck record
style advertisig puts you in the same bracket as 'enlarge your penis'
adverts, and gets you ignored just as much.
So, yes. If you calm down, and restrain yourself a bit, I might actually
take some interest in your music. Until then, I'm sticking to my delete key.
