i was actually just playing this the other day for the first time in a while. CER has a really good amount of variety amongst its tracks, going from light electro (Solvent, Skanfrom) to very elegant and solid IDM (Isan, Phonem, Roger van Lunteren, Opiate, Lexaunculpt). The Arovane track may disappoint you as it's not very similar to any of his other work, with a 4-on-the-floor beat and some vocoder vocals... definitely in the spirit of the release itself but not in line with his backcatalogue.

if you haven't heard it before, then do yourself a big favor and pick up Phonem's "Hydroelectric" release on the Morr Music label. It's easily one of my very favorite IDM records ever. I didn't find the arovane_phonem release to be quite as exciting as I'd hoped. It's still quite nice, but I guess my expectations were extremely high given that Arovane and Phonem are both at the top of my electronic listening list. Proof that 2 really great acts won't necessarily yield a doubly great collaborative album.... although admittedly, I'll still settle for the singular "really great." :-)
