trust Andy to cut through both the nationalistic hang-em-high bullshit and
the cynical for the sake of it apathy. :)
there is not one person who hasnt been touched by the events. but this list
is not the forum for the outpouring of ideas on how to retaliate. it is
genuinely frightening to read some of the comments here; it reminds me that
while IDM-L is a microcosm, its a very disfunctional one.
Currently the us defence secretary is on television spouting off about how
he considers the world to already be at war. in the uk, our prime minister
has pledged to support *any* retaliation, no matter how forceful. the last
thing we need is petty bickering, squabbling and small-minded xenophobia,
nationalism and hatred.
