Anyone else in the Bay Area go and check out this over the weekend? Of notable mention was the Mouse On Mars video for Actionist Respoke by Til Obladen, based round a freaky guest dinner party, with weird food and just kinda generally psychotic visuals. really nice. Also videos for Radiohead, the new Daft Punk, Gorillaz and Amon Tobin. My personal favorite was the Etienne de Crecy video, computer animated stoner couch potatoes, whose tv remote controller runs out of batteries, and they are forced to drive round their virtual french landscape in their lowrider looking for an open store. new music i been listening to: Twerk and Sutekh remixes by Matmos, Kit Clayton, Richard Devine. only bought this last night, so haven't heard too much, but really excited by it. Marumari - Supermogadon. Almost kinda poppy songs, all like three or four minute tracks. First couple almost seemed kinda french house, but seemed to settle to more melodic glitchy IDM as it progresses. Still undecided on it. Twerk - Now i'm rendered USeless. damn, if it aint the finest cleanest glitchy pulsing techno album i have heard in ages! -thor -- [thorsten@interphaze.org ]# --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
