What do you guys think of this track? It's not necessarily IDM, but it uses some of the chord progressions/aural aesthetics that I tend to associate with the genre. Although it falls more into the realm of electroacoustic art music, I wanted to get your guys take on it. Do you think this style and its ideas were a precursor to IDM? Quickly got bored mulling over the semantics of what qualifies something as minimal.. and then I came across Iannis Xenakis' Electroacoustic music.. Can't really define electroacoustical either but maybe it's a better example of what you were thinking of? Have you listened to Microstoria's Model 3, Step 2? Kind of reminds me of Xenakis a little.
