So I know i've been deleting most idm mail as of late, and this release (bodily functions is from may), but have we gushed over this CD yet? I mean it has to be the most groundbreaking IDMish cd in quite a number of months. Everything is there: clicky glitchy stuff, good grooves, sexy female voice, not too bad lyrics, live acoustic instrument, etc... I'm curious what the mainstream press has thought of BF too, anyone know? You owe it to yourself to track this down and listen. -Gil --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

And *I* actually made the credits list on track 4 :-) Herbert's email list had a "contest" wherein he asked people to mail him cdrs of wavs/aiffs with body sounds and jpegs, which he planned to use/tweak for the BF lp. The first 50 got a free promo ltd. 12". jeff At 09:23 AM 8/25/2001, Gil wrote:

"Bodily Functions" is one of my favorite albuns this year, also. Conserning mainstream press, I read an article on Uncut in which the critic gave 4 out of 5 to the album. So it seems that the critic liked it ;) Cesar --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Seems very popular with the newspapers and mainstream magazines I've glanced at, with its combination of accessible and cool elements. I haven't even seen it on sale where I am yet, so I haven't had a chance to listen. Don't think it'd be my cup of tea though, I'm not much into singing.
