That side of the LP is credited to Vinicio Brunori. While one could
entertain the idea of this being a Schmickler alias, it doesn't sound
remotely like any of the other records he's been involved with; the feel
is more like a meld between mid-late 70s electronic krautrock and a
certain Rough Trade UK pop sound birthed by Stuart Moxham in the early 80s
(w/ Phil Glass's long-dead ghost flitting behind in the background). I
would like to mention that I think there's an important distinction
between the worthwhile HMCM and the same cookie-cutter Schlammpeitziger
material that is released every year. Then again, every non-song-oriented
Eno record (a poor comparison point for any of the aforementioned
artistes) that I've run across has struck me as laughably mediocore, so
hey....
At any rate, the split LP was released in '94 and the Schlammpeitziger
tracks are:
1. Keine Sitar
2. Kartoffelackerdiscoesotech
3. Schmischugri
4. Selbstgeburt Odijk
