i bought the beige album on somewhat of a whim after reading the rave
reviews, and was less than blown away. if you have the osmosis comp then
you have the two best tracks from the album already, so i would just stick
with that and avoid the lp. specifically, the lp is much less
dancefloor-friendly - still minimally funky in that odd german timbaland
kinda way, but slower and not as fun, imho.

the recent manitoba lp probably fits the bill - it's a bit same-y, but
very pleasant listening. floaty, jazzy melodies and samples with nice
groovy drums. there's also a steve reich knock-off track, if that's your
sort of thing (credit to my friend mr. saddoris for that).
the only other thing i can recommend is the susumu yokota mix cd of leaf
material... if you can find it. i was lucky enough to spot it in the used
bin at mondo kims in nyc. tasty stuff.
related question: "as usual" by the gripper is one of my favorite tracks
off osmosis. who are these guys? does their other output sound like this?
great song.
