Peace, Here is a true story and a further elucidation on-a point I was trying to drive home about the ever push towards something "new". ........while in Detroit I have noticed one song that will drive EVERYBODY (that is; those who know--) stark ravin nuts! One song, thats almost universal, which sends the cats in a frenzy. I have been playing it for the last couple of nights and immediately I get these past images of a smokey, green lit basment....and just people groov'n. "Numbers" by Kraftwerk! THE MORAL: 1. That's the basics/fundamentals that I mentioned that Techno specifically, and SOME of the other forms of electronic music, emerged from. 2. That's the "old" that I KEEP mentioning that cant be beat! .....20 years to be exact....... 3. The root is just as important as the branch(feel me.....:)....) I now return you to your regularly scheduled (AE, Aphex, Sqr.phsr) program..........:) Np: "techno pop", Kraftwerk O-jax!!

Sometimes flames are funny. Sometimes they are pointless - especially when they are directed at someone trying to elucidate upon a valid point. Sometimes they illustrate a great dramatic irony when the flame inadvertently burns the one yielding it who can't tell the difference. jeff At 07:05 PM 7/28/2001, killog123@juno.com wrote:
