I just went to the Kid606 show tonight, it was really cool. Although, I wasn't all that impressed with the other acts, not exactly IDM type stuff, but it was just flat out boring. The Locust was pretty cool, but he started to get into some pretty stupid topics about their songs. Over all, I really enjoyed Kid606. Funny, I went up to go talk to Miguel, and he was pretty short with me. The whole time I was telling my friend that I thought it would be cool if I could play some shows with him, so I went up to talk to him. He was reading some kind of material and I asked where he played most of the time. He said he played a lot at the Knitting Factory and went right back to his reading. I was surprised that he was through with the conversation before it even began. Seemed pretty intraverted (sp?). -Peter "Pachinko" Schrock- http://www.mp3.com/pachinko --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Miguel never dissapoints. The sound of his live sets may vary from more ambientish to totally hard breaks to glitch-throb, but every time my jaw is on the ground. And how 'bout that crowd? For a Wednesday night there were about a thousand indie rock teenagers. It's good they got a taste of the Kid, but I'm thinking most of them were there for the Locust. Sidenote- At the show I picked up the live Kid 606 cd (with the complete dublab.com performance and just under 20 minutes of his Speak in Tongues perfomance, and limited to 500 copies) as well as the new Tigerbeat6 2x cd compilation and the new Electric Company called "62-56". The live Kid 606 is wonderful, the Electric Company is very similar in sound to Studio City (haven't heard his Planet Mu cd yet) and the comp I haven't heard yet. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
