Mark E. Smith is the very affected singer for the Fall. A manchester band thats been around since the late seventies. His connection to Richard James....well he's on a skam compilation and RDJ knows those guys, so he gets a Kevin Bacon score of 2. Mark E. Smith = lead guy of the Fall. At this point, the only remaining original member of the Fall. 1977 to the present. The Fall pretty much influenced underground/indie rock forever. Don't know of a direct RDJ connection, but he did do a guest vocal appearance on Coldcut's "What's That Noise?" album from 1989. In fact, it was that track ("(I'm In) Too Deep") that got me into the Fall in the first place. He also did a vocal/collab thing with D.O.S.E. for the single "Plug Myself In" in 1996, which was pretty nice in a Prodigy/Meat Beat type way. This was a two part single that had a gazillion remixes... I just remember the Caligula mix being the best.
