His combination of crunchy laptop beats, singing, rhyming and antics makes him one of the most entertaining live shows around these days. Part Kool Keith, part Andy Kaufman, and all CEX. MARUMARI (CARPARK) Josh Marumari's SUPERMOGADON album is THE summer electronic CD to own -- sunny, warm tunes with great depth of detail. Marumari is going to BLOW UP this year -- you can say you saw him in the funky little Green Room when he's on the Grammys with Bjork. STARS AS EYES (Tigerbeat6) A sort of Pink Floyd for the new milleneum? Tigerbeat6's newest artist has been receiving rave reviews for their spacey live sets this summer. 1. I hate html e-mail. You're not even supposed to post it to idm. 2. I'm hyping a show, and my tongue was in my cheek. Rjyan has mad respect for both Keith and Kaufman. I was making an analogy -- to Keith for Cex's surreal self-promotional scam, and Kaufman for his wacky stage antics. If you can't tell the difference between me promoting a show with humorous hyperbole, and substantive musical criticism you got a problem I can't help you with. 3. I like Cex's output a lot, and expect great things from him in the future. He's just a kid dammit, and to me a real breath of fresh air in a scene that takes itself way too seriously. 4. If you diss stryper you better not come through my town.
