I added an 'IDM Classic' T shirt to http://www.cafepress.com/idmlistt The back of shirt slogan is 'Scaring Normal People With Music Since 1993' It's not super-authentic -- the original had no image on the back, and was IBM blue on a white background -- i.e. it was the IBM logo font, with the letters simply constructed of blue bars. If anyone wants to spend some time looking at IBM logos and do the classic blue-on-white, drop me a line and I'll add or change the T design. Again, I just did this because it was stupidly easy. I set the sale prices at the minimum so I'll never see a red cent. Anyone who wants to do the same -- either on Cafepress.com or maybe even get fabric ink on their fingers, should knock themselves out. kent williams -- kent@avalon.net http://www.cornwarning.com -- Iowa's First Techno Record Label http://www.mp3.com/chaircrusher -- tunes --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Re: the IDM shirts.... I think what was cool about the original shirt was the minimalism of it. Adding a back or little slogans and things kind of takes away from that. So I went ahead and had Gil do a scan of his original IDM shirt which I'll get traced in illustrator so we can have a perfect recreation of the original, with the original dimensions, placement and colors (white logo on blue shirts). I'll also have some additional colors done as well keeping the exact same logo and dimensions. The profits from this shirt I will be donating to aid our friend and listmember Brock Suter aka The Fisherman. Several weeks ago Brock suffered an accident as a result of which he has sustained very serious and severe head injuries and other trauma. Brock is now recovering but remains in intensive care. Unfortunately when this accident occurred Brock was not insured. As many of us in the area know Brock has been an absolutely essential cornerstone of the IDM community here in Southern California ever since there has been such a thing, Dj'ing at countless experimental and ambient events. He has been an invaluable supporter of both lexaunculpt and I, as he has been to innumerable other area musicians, event organizers and Dj's who were willing to take a chance and put their time, effort and money into events and recordings of this music. Brock could always be counted on to do whatever was asked of him and has constantly shared his love of music with others. For me, Brock's friendship (formed after meeting on this list many years ago) has represented the very best of the amazing sense of community borne of a mutual passion for music that the IDM list has the capacity to generate both online and in the real world - which I feel makes the reprinting of this shirt for his benefit a very appropriate gesture. I'll have more details on the shirts once I have them made. Should any of you wish to make donations to aid in paying Brock's medical costs, which as you can imagine will be considerable, please feel free to forward them to Orange at the following address and they will be passed along to Brock's family: Brock Suter Recovery Fund c/o Orange Po Box 253 Atwood, CA 92811 USA Any other messages or well wishes for recovery you may have for Brock you may email to me and I will ensure they are passed along to Brock and his family as well. Thanks, Gonzi. __________ Orange Po Box 253 Atwood, CA 92811 USA Fax:714.993.9248 fresh@home.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
