Does anybody have a report from the Phoenix Fest in Portland with Phonem, Lexaunculpt, L'usine and Not Breathing from over the weekend? Did anybody go see Phonem with Kid 606 in San Francisco? How was it? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I was down there Saturday/Sunday & unfortunately was not able to catch the "IDM night" as I had to return to the real world late Sunday. I was a little disappointed that they'd scheduled these shows on a night when such a large percentage of attendees had to leave. Regardless, all second-hand reports say the night was great. I was particularly sad to have missed Not Breathing -- seen them once before & was definitely impressed. I did manage to catch a couple other good sets, though. Jerry Abstract spinning IDM & techno was amazing as always. And Diagram of Suburban Chaos played two mindblowing sets, one Saturday & one Sunday (his two & a half hour set Saturday night was perfect, on the hill at the Spice Alley camp with the sun setting over the river valley). Anyone who hasn't heard DOSC's music should run as fast as their ISP will take them to http://www.imputor.com. Beautiful stuff. sarah[atomicforliving] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I have to agree. I give props to all the folks who organized the Phoenix festival.. I'm sure they did their best and tried hard.. but for the same reason, I wasn't able to make the Phoenix festival for "Idm night". 8pm Sunday to 8am Monday was just a bad time frame. I was expecting it to be a day festival, which is why I was initially excited (then again, inland Oregon/S. Washington was quite an oven that weekend) ======================================================================= Brian MacDonald <brianm@kuci.org> ======================================================================= --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yeah, we quickly realized this was probably not the best choice. Next year we will run IDM night on the first night of the fest. That way all of the ravers and hippies will be forced to see what good music is all about :) From the looks of it the festival will run Thursday through Sunday, this should work a bit better for most people's schedule being that Thursday is the 4th. -c --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
