I hate it when a stupid mailing list pissing match obscures the actual SUBJECT of a post. I reviewed 'In Vitro Tide' for AP, and thought it was a truly interesting and enjoyable piece of work. It was especially interesting as a fresh take on Jazz Fusion influence -- instead of Squarepusher's invocation of Bitch's Brew, it recalls some of Billy Cobham's adventures in polyrhythms. Believe me, as a producer myself, it is very difficult to gain attention of an audience awash in choices. If Dean fucked up and sent his e-mail more than once, well, that's what the 'D' key is for. And as for web design, I'd rather have to deal with good music on ugly web pages than ugly music on good web pages. Dean, I wish you success with your release and I will try to take a listen to your mp3s. But being rude to people, sending the same message over and over, and describing your own music as 'profound/serious/you won't be disappointed' - judgements normally made by reviewers - these are not good ways to get people positively interested in your music.
