Actually, Lance brought me up to speed way back
when Aspen's first album on Elephant Electronic came
out, entitled "Album". I've been playing tracks from
that album on audio::nimbus ever since that day, as
it completely spans many areas that Bevan Smith
currently excels in including, ambient, electronica,
drum and bass, intelligent listening music and even
dub for that matter. It truly is a highlight, and a great
intro to the Aspen sound architecture.
Check out
http://involve.co.nz for more information. Looks
like Involve are prepared to unleash a series of 12"
releases. Bevan briefly mentioned this series when he
played with ISOL in Detroit about a month back. Jet Jaguar
(Michael Upton) has an upcoming full length as well that
i'm highly anticipating.

"Latest news on Jet Jaguar is that the first stage of artwork
has been completed. Thanks Alan. Now the final production
should be underway. Clint and the master are somewhere
between Chicago, London Sydney and Wellington."
"We will be posting some information on the new involve
artists Slowmoe and Loscil in the near future. The Slowmoe
album is waiting to be mastered and a few re-mixes are also
in transit."
I know it's difficult to keep up to the onslaught of labels
coming out in every direction, but Involve has always stayed
true to form both in sound developments and visual delights
on every release. I put Involve right next to labels like DeFocus,
Suction, Delsin, Neo Ouija, and even Warp for that matter.
Pietro.
