Trust me on that one. I'm not sure that the buzzing in my ears will ever cease. I think all of the high end has been completely destroyed. The Short Story -- 1.) Went to Nesh in NYC. 2.) Got the shit blown straight out of my ass, into the toilet, it flushed itself. Warp, you put on an amazing party. The venue and atmosphere were spectacular. _Everyone_ was super into it and having a grand time. I hope this re-enforces the fact that there's a very loyal and devoted audience over here in the states. Do this kind of shit more often. Squarepusher is my father. He's always been a huge inspiration, so, simply seeing him live was wonderful. Beyond that, he's got a terrific stage presence, and some of the NEW, NEW (not on go plastic) tracks completely blew my mind (i saw a bunch of you mofos recording this. I want bootlegs, immediately. The dirty south joint MUST be put up). Seriously, BLEW MY MIND. Long live the Grand Master of IDM. Chris Clark spun some wicked shit. One of the tracks, in particular, sounded like a perfect (use your imagination) combination of Trance and IDM. Not only did it not suck, but it was fucking tight. I also was very pleased with the choice of venue- much nicer than the Other Music-sponsored party a couple of years ago. Open air=good (at least when it's not raining, which it miraculously wasn't). Speaking of alternative places to see shows, if you're going to the Anchorage for the Force, Inc show and have a PalmOS device, some of the installations will beam graphics to you. Almost all of the obnoxious "New York" attitude you will find in the city is imported from New Jersey and pours down the West Side Highway on the weekends in a Brylcreemed tight black synthetic flood.
