The John Carpenter/Escape from New York thread got me thinking: Is it just me, or does Plone sound alot like the soundtrack to Dawn of the Dead (the shopping mall zombie movie)? If you want to hear the original track from the movie I beleive that the music was done by Goblin. I'm sure it's on the net somewhere. I love Goblin. Their soundtracks for "Dawn Of The Dead", "Susperia", "Deep Red (Profondo Rosso)...essential stuff. They have moments of unbearable prog-cheese, but totally outweighed by the moments of brilliance. Jeff on 6/14/01 3:43 PM, Doug at umstechi@cc.UManitoba.CA wrote:

Just some random comments on this stuff.... Goblins is Dario Agento's band... he's also co-producer or something on dawn of the dead, and responsible for a load of other horror films...Demons is probably the most famous. Best for me was another film george romero did with him, called Two Evil Eyes... Check it out. Oh, and the music from the shopping mall in dawn of the dead is called The Gonk, or something... not written specially for the film or anything, just stock music (or what ever you call it) Oh, and go get the dvd of dawn of the dead, with special commentary by Tom Savini! Worth getting a dvd player for!
