from what i heard, concerning the lack of rythm at the 930 club AE show, what the idea was - was that since it was a show in DC, birthplace of go go and funk(chocolate city-parliment), they would do a very unconventional un dc thing, and do an arythmical show. that was the word floating around from a couple heads i was talking to. another one i heard, but it sounds less true- at one point one of the dudes from Ae had left the stage, was bc he was getting brains from the chick from mens recovery project while smoking a bowl. thats what my friend who got backstage said, but i dont know if thats true. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

"Getting brains"? What, did Autechre stumble into the 80s remake of "Night of the Living Dead"? Or is that a cool, new cryptic hip-hop slang for getting blown? Now that's the type of rock 'n roll behaviour that's been missing from IDM - Maybe it's time for someone to do a 'Hammer of the Gods' type expose on the debauched behaviour of various IDM bands. I'm sure Led Zeppelin in their prime had nothing on yer average Autechre tour. Dan.
