I have the Nothing version of Plaid's Rest Proof Clockwork. I just recently noticed that Warp lists 16 tracks for the album, but the Nothing version only has 15. However, the Nothing version has a "hidden" track, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is a different track than the "real" 16th one on the Warp version, or is it the same track? I tried to find out by going to Warp's site and listening to the RA files, but they screwed up; the audio for track 16 on their site is missing; the link just goes to track 15. Help? Thanks, IDM list! -Adam _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? The Warp hidden track is actually one of the gems of the album. It has female vocals (either Ed or Andy's girlfriend is the singer, I can't remember whose) and words like "face me" in the chorus. I've dragged the final track into a wave editor, chopped out the silence and burned that last track to a CD-R for easy access, since it's very beautiful. As far as Plaid goes, I'm an unrepenting Plaidophile and would happily recommend any and everything they've done, but then, others would disagree, so take it with a heap of salt. From what I've heard of Double Figure it's yet again a winner of a release and doesn't disappoint. I'm looking forward to getting to know it well. It's Alison Goldfrapp, although I didn't realise she was involved with one of the Plaid lads. -- Mark Stevens http://www.headspin.clara.net/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Actually, she's not involved with either of the Plaids, though they are friendly (that's why Ms. Goldfrapp was willing to let them open for her in NYC). I don't recall which Plaid it is, but one of them is Leila Arab's (Rephlex) b/f. -Ryan At 10:09 PM 5/26/2001 +0100, you wrote:
