i have the "hoshi no koe" release on thrill jockey (cd) and if you are
thinking of the same track i am (i saw him in cleveland) it is an alternate
version of the track "sign." there is the "album version" that is on "hoshi
no koe" and presumably a reworked version on the "sign" ep which may be
closer to the one you are looking for. it was released several weeks ago on
vinyl, and the thrill jockey site says that it is out of stock.... but i
believe a cd version is forthcoming, as there is a date for 6/19 on the
site.
check www.thrilljockey.com for more info.....
did anyone else find that nobukazu takemura was 1000 times better live than
tortoise? i'm a tortoise fan.... but i was somewhat disappointed by their
performance.
