Autechre is a band that used to make electronic music and now make electronic noise. Some of the early Autechre tracks were uplifting, most of the recent ones are irritating. Get used to hearing their name on this list. :-) Topher. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

it's beautiful though, if you learn to let go instead of trying to force their music to sound a specific way, it is very interesting music to listen to. Gotta say, I agree with you. Of course the disciples out there will disagree until the very end, but that's the way it goes. I miss Autechre, the musicians. They probably laugh at how irritating they've become. Knowing full well that their elitist fanbase will follow them no matter how much garbage they produce. Saying that, art is subjective. To each their own. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Hello all.,, Sorry for the delayed post but I haven't had a chance yet. Rob Hall was certainly interesting I like the track that mixed a Who song straight from a Mayhem track. I was quite disappointed by Autechre however I didn't feel like they put much effort in to the show rarely did they manipulate the Kick tone the patterns where great but the tone started reminding me of 4/4 house kick sets from a boring drum module. While one of them selected tracks from the mixer to run through his Nord desktop module and twiddled the nobs resulting in a lot of the tracks sounding the same. Actually the whole set reminded me of being 18 and waiting for Skinny Puppy to take the stage it had that same intro kind of feel. I think I was more interested in gear spotting. Which brings me to my question does anyone have any guesses at a gear list?? I spotted the Nord and of course the two PowerBooks. What was that mixer? Anyone ?? and only I am escaped to tell thee -job --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
