I was told that I'd enjoy music from this label, but I didn't get any specific projects. Now, I'm only looking to try one or two releases since my pockets aren't exactly full, so what's the general consensus? What's a good representation of the label, and which mailorder outfit carries it (and is relatively inexpensive)? Thanks. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

What's a good representation of the label, and which mailorder outfit carries it (and is relatively inexpensive)? Thanks. you can visit this link www.raster-noton.de my favourite is Komet/Frank Brettschneider, who founded Rastermusic. Then, he teamed up with Carsten Nicolai from Noton. So their association became Raster-Noton. Have a nice day philippe ************************************************************** http://www.bip-hop.com unconventional sound adventures, adventurous & creative electronica... ************************************************************** SPACEHADS and MAX EASTLEY : the time of the ancient astronaut [bleep 04]____May 2001 A world of high opera and tipsy beats that then cascades with a metallic pounding. Haunting trumpet melodies over soft drones and textures sets the mood. The music takes on cinematic proportions as the terrain unfolds. Interstellar landscapes are revealed. MAX EASTLEY plays The Arc. A nine foot long mono chord. One string stretched over wood and played with a bow or glass rods. The pitch is changed by flexing the wood. The string can also be shortened with clips. It is then fed into electronic effects. The SPACEHEADS is a duo mixing trumpet and electronics with drums and percussion. Plaintive trumpet calls are looped across pulsing beats that propel us into sheets of metal crashing and vibrating through tiny pick ups cranked to the full and then spun into electronic webs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

of course, if you're only looking for one or two things to pick up, then you can't go wrong with senking's 20' to 2000 contribution. very nice. has a very aquatic, moving quality to it, at least that's what i think of when i listen to it. coh's "enter tinnitus" is also good. part of the static series, with all releases coming in antistatic bags. very cool. good luck, alan!
