wow. if you thought you were being treated with the single.. wow. the remaining tracks on the red hot car ep (hardcore obelisk / i wish you obelisk / bonus track) are equally amazing.. for instance.. hardcore obelisk is err.. ambient to say the least. kinda droney, reminiscent of a sort of pan american / labradfordy sound.. no beats, just drones. very lovely though. i wish you obelisk: old-skool squarepusher stylee... as you like it. not many phat basslines, but beats-a-rama.. dig it. then the bonus track (which comes about 30 minutes after the end of track 4).. reminded me quite a lot of the eno ambient series.. and the album!! oh my.. yes, old skooly squarepushery.. phat.. but much much madder (in my opinion). vocals.. (inc the lovely SELLLLLECTAAAAAAAAAAA sample) .. and also some more melodic moments, still with slightly deranged breakbeats and the like.. but sounding surprisingly structured. there isn't too much about this album which is unlistenable, while tom uses loads of madly abstract sounds, there is still incredible coherance .. and it just works. MMMMMMMM. i am in love. :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
