After messing about with reaktor for quite a while, i've been lusting silently after max/msp and supercollider. The problem is, i have no mac.... so if anyone could direct me to any new badass languages/environments for programming synthesis/composition stuff, i'd be much obliged. cdin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

How's about csound/directCsound? http://web.tiscalinet.it/G-Maldonado/home2.htm You can also check out PD (the "original" Max), www.pure-data.org. They aren't bad, not exactly Reaktor, but may get you through until the fall when (hopefully) Cycling'74 is released for the PC. Also, jmax for Linux, Reason for PC, Sonar from Cakewalk, let's see...but Reaktor, PD and csound are the closest on a Windows system. Reaktor version 3 is out now too. Chris
