Yep I was there. And I saw a guy who taped the show on minidisc. But I think a security man didn't allow it and took his recorder away... (I'm not sure about this). I think some DJ played a remix of 808 States - Flow Coma....very cool :) From Autechre I had the feeling they were playing a lot of slow stuff...a little but too slow imho... But overall it was very good.... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

hi, anybody of you was in wien last friday to see Ae? i was there at the porgy & bess club. it is a local jazz club, a really high-life place i must say. i was surprised, man how can they give us a cool electronig listening at a jazz club, but it really worked. the local crew of security staff removed all seats & round tables at midnight right after the last jazz gig, and a big black desk was put on the stage with lots of various stuff, about 4 laptops [each of them being an apple macintosh, well what else?] a nord modular connected to a big drum machine or whatever [that was in the middle], also team doyobi's stuff [two yunosty russian tvs + laptop] on the left hand, and 2 turn tables on the left hand. first there was a pita set with lots of 80's music mixed and chunked fucked up, it was quite interesting. then came a dj i could not recognize. hey did a good job, the last piece he rolled was the ad vanz v gescom _viral_ track from the fatcat split 12". that really kicked ass. the whole mass went really mad meanwhile. after the set came an at least 1 hour live set of team doyobi playing cool random beats mixed with smooth bass sounds & cool melodies. a bit of shitting by rob hall (maybe) and pita then came autechre, they played about 5 tracks but each one lasted at least 10 minutes. i was a bit tired after being up for 2 days, a good joint gave me a help, but ae came a bit late. as far as i remember they surely played one track off peel session 2 (the rush one - track 03 maybe) and one off confield, the one that was presented in the vivaII ae interview with some video cut&made for the audiovisual experience by the vivaII crew. damn how the journey back to budapest was terrible. :) oh did anyone get a chance to record somthing that night? i was speaking with a guy, he had a minidisc recorder, but he told me that it was almost unusable (low on battery), so i don't know if he succeeded in recording a second... he told me he was not an IDMer, so i don't think he'll show up here... damn. :0 bias. malenkaja.voda.[70].222.3540.............ssaJ6oJd u! owep d3 peolf!yS:se!8 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
