Most of it is some gawd awful noisy racket so be warned. :) well, when God was still around their records sounded totally beautiful to my ears. Not "gawd awful noisy" at all... A dark atmosphere maybe, quite new-yorkish in a Foetus/Cop Shoot Cop stylee but definitely enthralling. "possession" and their first, eponymous, are good too. "Anatomy of god" is my favourite though... thanx god. philiippe http://www.pandemoniumrecords.com

okay, just in case there are any fatboy listeners out there, I have a question: how is it possible that I distinctly remember hearing the song Sunset (Bird of Prey) in the year 1997 on the radio at 4 in the morning in Chicago? I had just run out of tape when the song came on and didn't record it, but I remember liking it and I tried to get an I.D. on the song for 3 and a half years (i get really obsessive about song I.D.'s). I flipped when I heard it was Fatboy slim, who i'm not so crazy about, and that it was a brand new song off his new album. Anyone? np: Old - Formula __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Who knows... perhaps it was a white label for all these years?? Or maybe you heard Jim Morrison and remembered the lyrics? I cannot remember the Doors original of this, btw. Where did it come from? Supposedly it was a rare promo, and it was a very vocal based track. Norman Cook found it at a record show a couple years ago or something and then he simply made a track out of it, followed by a complete shit album. It's from the Doors album, "An American Prayer" that came out in the late 70s and had a lot of spoken word and unfinished stuff on it. The song is actually called "Bird of Prey" and he sings it into what sounds like a portable tape recorder with no music. Gotta love Fatboy for not even changing the damn title, eh? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Ah - BING! Yes, quite. I used to... somewhere long ago, have a cassette of this. Weird weird stuff. "There, on the bloodied sheets, we could plan a murder, we could start a religion..." wish I could remember it all properly. RIP Jim. I've got that cassette around somewhere, too..somehow, I'll never forget the line "her cunt gripped him like a warm, friendly hand". not sure why that line stuck. =) em. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
