Push-Button Objects, DeLaroPrefusa, and now I'm listening to Machine Drum's "Now You Know" and hearing a similar usage of rap samples chopped up and sprinkled throughout. Are these samples of collaborators/acquaintances/nobodies, or are they of well-known artists? Both? Neither? -eric --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Ah, sorry for the vagueness, but by "rap" I mean the vocal cut-ups. -eric --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

So much for my proofreading: http://formen.ign.com/news/30084.html Theres a series of four, the links to the rest are at the end of the articles. But this does deal with breaks rather than vocal samples, most of those tend to come from classic hiphop tracks in my experience -i --- interdit@yahoo.com wrote:
