New Mogwai is nice! Even with the cheesy title. I appear to be alone in liking the Ae album. Although, perhaps having heard them live three times since LP5 I had an idea where they were going. Hell, it just sounds like Autechre to me. And one final word : Well, to quote me old mucker, Richard D James from this very list back in 96, OrBOREDtal. Yawn. I heard Meltdown on the radio, and thought it was top. So I bought the album. Ugh. -i. "New Mogwai is nice! Even with the cheesy title." i'll have to agree with you. I would prefer it being a little longer (even though i can never quite make it through CODY without either bashing my head off the cd player to stop it or falling asleep). I was pleasantly surprised with how well the tracks with singing went. I would also like to see Mogwai possibly pushing the envelope a little more, trying some new and experimental directions. 'Rock Action' is very much just a slow progression from everything else they've done, but they do it well so i guess i shouldnt complain. ]|=-Brian Hulick-=|[ ./.Life is unfair; Kill yourself or get over it..\. ----- Original Message ----- From: Iain Forfar <Iainf@ukgateway.net> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Tuesday, May 01, 2001 1:05 PM Subject: [idm] New stuff (again)
