Hey, I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but 1) is Hellfish a pseudonym for Boards of Canada, and does this new album on Paradinas's label sound anything like the darker Hellfish sounds from the Mask 12 inches? BTW: I heard a bootleg of a recent Boards of Canada show in the UK, and their new material is strikingly darker and harder than usual.... lots of thick, analogue bass chugs driving their tracks now, and the melodies are a lot creepier. If in fact some of this material does make it on the new album, it'll make for a pleasant surprise after listening to Autechre's latest (once again - very interesting programming that does absolutely nothing to bring me back for a second listen). Having said that, though, I should commend Warp Records for repressing all the old Autechre gold that's been sitting in collector's hands for the last several years. "Incunabula," "Amber," "Tri Repetae" and "Chiastic Slide" are now available on vinyl again. Hoorah! Now if only Warp could repress "Garbage," "Anvil Vapre," "Anti" and "Envane." onnow: Iffy - Q-Burns mixes Aaron Michelson RPM Director, WRCT // In Pittsburgh Weekly // http://bleepbloopweb.come.to --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

The pseudonym that Boards of Canada used on Skam is Hellinterface, not Hellfish. Hellfish one guy. Julian Cobb according to planet-mu.com. He does more gabba-type stuff. He's the one that does deathchant records, I think.
