Are there any decent shops in or around D.C. to find IDMish stuff (vinyl and CD)? I'll be heading home from school in a couple weeks and I'm wondering if I'm going to have to continue my sorry mail-ordering ways (shipping and handling will be the death of me, I swear). I guess I'm wondering if there's any events too. Buzz just doesn't do it for me somehow. I heard something about a new techno night, no?

yes... Metrotechno is bringing techno back to the city that lost christian smith and Stewart Walker. Check out the link below. We'll be bangin' it friday nights at Showboat in Adams Morgan. http://phonopsia.tripod.com/Metrotek.htm We're a pretty cool crew cuz all the members spin different styles of techno (funky, detroit, hard, dubby...). As far as record shops, check out Now! Music in Arlington (clarendon). They have some fun IDM fare. -Gil On Fri, 27 Apr 2001, Andy Battle wrote:
