Anyone familar with the output of the Elektrolux label? Any suggestions on where to start...recommendations? I am familar with their 2CD comp. called 'Ambient Diary Three', which has some nice tracks, if deriative, but i'm sure there's something better on this label. Highly recommended is Nobukazu Takemura's new one on Thrill Jockey 'Hoshi No Koe'. 'Scope' was superb, but this is more organic, live instrumentation and beats. hi, here's something i made up for the ambient list just last week: ps. buy directly from http://www.elektrolux.com their service is great. elektrolux has been my favourite label during the last two years, thats for sure. investigation is highly recommended! they have a range of very relaxed electronic soundscapes with a touch of dub. sometimes electroish. for a start to discover their spectrum try one of the compilations, the 'ambient diary' series has 3 double-cd volumes. also good 'dub backups' and 'elektro codes'. names you might be familiar with: aural float, dr. scissors, alex azary, gabriel le mar, marcus darius, full moon fashions, pascal f.e.o.s., jfc/timewriter... early releases were closely related to the thule crew from iceland, like thor, babel, ruxpin. my personal favourites are 'autopilot - the voice inside', 'jfc - chrome de lux' and the 'fresh moods' releases. upcoming talents are drøn, soehngenetic, ünn. the people from elektrolux are also releasing the 'spacenight' series, a german tv programme running overnight, with beautiful space footage, nasa and such, earth views, space stations, and a selected soundtrack behind it. spacenight volume 6 was just released. all available releases can be obtained from their official website. some more info's here: http://www.kompaktkiste.de/elux.htm ;-) ciao, wolf. ----://----------------------------------------------------- mailto:wolf@kompaktkiste.de http://www.soliton-records.de/soliton.htm http://www.kompaktkiste.de ----://----------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
