Yes, this is some inspired madness. The cover art (incl. a replica of the famous Brain Records logo) will convince all but the most clued-in that it's the old German rock band, but it's actually Felix Kubin and Asmus Tietchens. I find this to be a much more successful prank than anything V/VM have done. Au contraire, only the most clued-in would know that the Scorpions were ever on Brain in the first place (I always thought Jane were a better bet, at least for their first two albums. For more evidence of how Michael Schenker can ruin a band, see the first two UFO albums). More German longhair laffs: check out the cover to the Transonic Jokers CD (a reduced pixture is on the FE web-site, but it isn't quite big enough to convey its sheer ludicrosity). -rob --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

And only the very-most clued in would notice that it's not 'Brain/Metronome' on the jacket of the Spiders on Phasing LP but instead 'Brian/Metromone'...
