great, and it is because the rythym is supplied by a human being, and not a clock. Sequencing and quantization is terrible, lame, sucks, and sounds awful... When will we break free from the limits of sequenced music and how will it be done? is there any software out there that allows for composition without a sequencer? When will electronic music have the powerful rythyms that are found for example in primitive tribal ritualistic drumming???? welcome to the rythym world! you can make a clock speed up & down, with some random motion like (understand, LIKE=analog) a human being. my heartbeat changes, and yours? bad sequencing & quantization sucks. you can compose without sequencing or quantization, and can be good or bad music. we still live in the world of primitive tribal ritualistic drumming. in brazil, samba. in usa/europe, house, polka, ___ (add a rhythm of your choice).

the rest (unsuccessfully) to make it more natural by introducing errors (humainization) but it just isn't the same as natural rythym ideosyncracies because nature isn't random, but chaotic in an emotionally relevant way... computers can only be semi-random and have no emotion at all..... did you ever try groove quantize? If you like sequence music, but you want it to sound like a real ritualistic drummer grab a sampler and extract its timing information. or grab a trigger and play yourself (or hire someone) a ritualistic rhythm of your choice.
