What do they sound like? Sure, I could go to the ninjatune site, but then where's the sport in that? If I dig Autechre, Monolake and Jega, will I like Hexstatic? Just curious? I also love Johnny Cash. think coldcut. sample based. fun listen. mostly lighthearted stuff. comes with extra neato cd rom thing. fun to look at for the first time. then the novelty fades. otherwise, i'd say it has not much similar to any of the artists you mentioned. i own it, and i listen to it occasionally. it doesn't beat "Let Us Play" though. i say spend your hard earned funds on dj shadow's endtroducing. a. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

electro with visual samples... their performance friday last week @ london's ocean - altho not v. well attended - opened with visuals of the ocean & birds, and the sound as well. they're into old skool computer games, ninja movies & add lots of inneresting weird cut ups from visuals into the soundmix...obviously using either vjamm or some other software technology. the natural rhythms trilogy including 'timber' incorporates the sounds of chainsaws to create rhythms, frogs & an african/maybe brazilian native singing to create rhythms... the album comes with a cd-rom of visuals for every track. v.f.m.
